TIMBRES
The Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry, located in the Old Major Seminary of Bayeux, home to the most famous medieval tapestry: Tapestry of Queen Mathilde, unique for its historical value. It's a real comic trip, telling precisely as epic the conquest of England by William.

Legend attributes the work – in reality an embroidery of coloured wool on linen canvas - to Queen Matilda, wife of William, but it was probably embroidered by monks in southern England at the instigation of the half brother of William, Bishop Odon who wanted to decorate the Cathedral of Bayeux.
