Marie-Pierre Koenig
Marie-Pierre Kœnig, plus connu en France sous le nom de Pierre Kœnig est un homme politique et un militaire français, maréchal de France, compagnon de la Libération.
En 1917 après avoir obtenu son baccalauréat il s'engage et commence sa carrière militaire. Il décide de rejoindre la France Libre en juillet 1940.
Le général Kœnig commande les Français libres lors de la bataille de Bir Hakeim (26 mai-11 juin 1942), bataille qui ruinera les ambitions de Rommel au Moyen-Orient. Ce fait d'armes entraîne une nouvelle prise de conscience des alliés de la valeur et du courage des soldats français
