Rouen - La cathédrale
La cathédrale est l’une des plus belles réalisations de l’art gothique français. Commencée au 12ème siècle, reconstruite au 13ème après un incendie elle a été embellie jusqu’au 16ème siècle. Elle fut coiffée de sa flèche de bronze au 19ème siècle.

Le réalisateur de ce timbre de Saint-Thomas et Prince devait avoir abusé du Calvados normand pour confondre Notre-Dame de Paris avec la cathédrale de Rouen !
The designer of this stamp from S. Tome & Principe sould have drunk too much Calvados to mistake Notre-Dame de Paris for Rouen Cathedral !
