Après un siège la ville est prise par Philippe Auguste à Jean sans Terre (Roi d’Angleterre), Rouen est française. Ceci n'empêchera pas Edouard IV d'y naitre quelques années plus tard.

After a siege the city was taken by Philip Augustus against John Lackland (King of England), Rouen is French. This will not prevent Edward IV to be born there few years later.

Second enfant de Richard Plantagenêt et de Cécile Neville, Édouard IV d'Angleterre est né à Rouen, alors sous contrôle anglais. Il fut roi d'Angleterre de 1461 à 1483, premier roi d'Angleterre issu de la Maison d'York. La première partie de son règne fut troublée par la guerre des Deux-Roses mais fut un souverain populaire et capable.

Second child of Richard Plantagenet and Cecily Neville, Edward IV of England was born in Rouen, then under British control. He was King of England from 1461 to 1483, the first king of England from the House of York. The first part of his reign was troubled by the Wars of the Roses, but he was a popular and capable sovereign.
