Jean-Baptiste de la Salle (1)
Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle est un ecclésiastique français et un innovateur dans le domaine de la pédagogie. Il a consacré sa vie à éduquer les enfants pauvres. Il est le fondateur de l'institut des Frères des Écoles chrétiennes.

Appelé à Rouen en 1705 par Mgr Colbert, archevêque de cette ville, il ouvrit un pensionnat à Saint-Yon et y fit venir, en 1714, le noviciat de Paris.
Saint John Baptist de La Salle was a French cleric and innovator in the field of pedagogy. He devoted his life to educating poor children. He is the founder of the Institute of Christian Brothers.

Called in Rouen in 1705 by Bishop Colbert, archbishop of that city, he opened a boarding school in Saint-Yon and he brought along in 1714, the novitiate from Paris.
